~~More About Our Mission~~
Most of the materials used in our jewelry have come from years of collecting precious and semi-precious stones, shells, and other assorted beads. I decided that instead of keeping these treasures to myself, I’d craft them into unique pieces of jewelry to be shared with whomever else finds them beautiful!
Second-hand supplies such as beading wire, seed beads, ear wires, etc. are used whenever possible to minimize our carbon footprint.
As we learn to use Mother Earth’s local resources, our goal is to reflect this knowledge by continuing to incorporate local, natural, and sustainable materials in our products. In the future, we plan to offer a variety of products that we use in our daily life, so we’re excited to see how becomingSustainable will evolve!
~~*A Little About Who We Are *~~
In 2013, my partner and I discontinued our paths towards becoming professionals in computer engineering and physics in order to focus on living a sustainable and holistic lifestyle.
We have lived in a few different intentional communities and also RV’ed for a couple years exploring the US. Our journeys have led us to the coast of North Carolina currently, where we’re enjoying the beach while we search for land to develop into a housing cooperative and sustainable farm!
